CAT Tracks for May 18, 2005
REMINDER & THANKS

REMINDER!

TODAY - Wednesday - May 18, 2005 - is the day that CATs meet to discuss a proposed 3-year Contract! Any and all questions will be answered and a vote will be taken to accept or reject the Tentative Agreement. Please bring your copy of the Tentative Agreement to the meeting!

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you ATTEND! We must have a quorum of the membership...30+ teachers...in order to conduct business. A majority of those present will decide. If approved by the CAT, the Cairo BOE will vote on Thursday night.

Folks...if this happens...it would be the first time that the CAT and Cairo BOE have agreed on a new contract before the old contract expired in ??? years...if it has ever happened!!!

So...be a part of history! Be at Cairo Jr/Sr High School this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. We'll see you there...

THANKS!

Regina, Pam, and Ron will be joining Julie in Los Angeles for the NEA Representative Assembly this July!

The CAT has received official notification that Regina Brown, Pam Carlton, and Ron Newell have been chosen as state delegates. Julie Newell is an "automatic delegate" since she is a member of the IEA Board of Directors.

So...we thank you for your support!
