SECOND "MEDIATION" SESSION

Technical Difficulties...Please Stand By!

What do you do if the mediator calls and says that he will be unable to attend due to a contrary vehicle?

Well...the CAT and the BOE went ahead as scheduled...at the encouragement of said mediator.

To summarize...

Looooong pauses between sessions take their toll. Nothing "new" was accomplished during a four-hour session and much time was spent in revisiting once-familiar territory.

However, two positives emerged from last night's meeting:

BOTH sides are in agreement as to where we presently stand, and

We have scheduled TWO meetings for November (with or without the mediator)...the 12th and the 24th.

Your CAT bargaining team knows that you are impatient...that you want a new contract. TRUST US...WE FEEL YOUR PAIN! (Uh, if you have any suggestions on how to speed up the process...and have been keeping them to yourself...bring 'em on!!!)

Anyway...TWO scheduled meetings...hopefully something to celebrate by Thanksgiving Day!!!
