Several arrested after fights at Sikeston Field House

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - Several people ended up taking a trip to jail Friday night after several fights broke out at the Sikeston - Charleston basketball game.
The two teams were battling it out at the Sikeston Field House when the fights started.
Police from Sikeston and surrounding areas rushed to the scene to break up the fights.
According to Sikeston School Superintendent, Steve Borgsmiller, a group of people started fighting in the stands. Once that fight broke up, Borgsmiller says another one started in another area.
Police took several people away in handcuffs. There's no word from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety on how many people were arrested, or if there were any injuries.
