DEMOLITION UPDATE

No...

...not downtown Cairo.

Each day, this reporter ventures forth and makes his rounds of Cairo. A lot has been happening of late...

Destruction...the long-overdue demolition of downtown Cairo, but

Even a bit of construction...namely Fat Boys' fence and the preparation for a new house on the corner of 25th and Washington. (BTW: They poured the footing for the foundation of that new home this past week.)

Not to overlook the USS Cairo mural at 34th and Washington.

However...
There is another on-going "destruction" of special interest to employees of Cairo School District Number One and I would be remiss if I failed to provide "the latest".
In two previous posts - Send Me A Sign! and Crimeus Interruptus - I have reported a long neglected (and now very ironic) sign and its subsequent vandalism.
Well...
...the confirmation of yet another old adage.
"The criminal always returns to the scene of the crime."
