CAT Tracks for January 21, 2021

The Cairo Board of Education held its Regular Meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.

CAT President's Report:

Call to order at 6:01 p.m.

Members present: Coleman, Stubblefield, Nelson, Harris and McAllister. Moore and Gooden attended by phone. Finance Director Blake also attended by phone. Superintendent Rice was also present.

No examples of excellence.

CAT President De De O'Shea once again spoke about getting the vaccine for the staff. Response: It is going to be looked into.

After much discussion, Superintendent Rice recommended a hybrid schedule for returning to in-person learning.

The staffing needs were discussed, but since a new board will be seated in April, no decision was made about listing.

The BOE voted to enter closed session at 7:00 p.m.

The BOE voted to exit closed session at 7:50 p.m.
