The question was rhetorical, not seeking an answer, but...
YES!!!
Too much money has been invested in testing to pull the plug on it. As they were saying about certain banks during what we thought of then as a "crisis" - back before the pandemic, economic collapse, and the overthrow of democracy by a sitting "president" and his rabid followers - testing is "too big to fail".
So you have to test but can ask for a waiver not to be held accountable for crappy results?
