The Cairo Board of Education held a Special Meeting on Monday, March 29th, at 6 p.m.
The notice and agenda are below, followed by a separate "FYI" from Superintendent Rice.

CAT President's Report:
Called to order at 6:09 p.m.
Members present: Coleman, McAllister, Nelson, and Gooden (by phone.) Superintendent Rice and Finance Director Blake were present also.
Item #2 - One parent spoke about having the 12th grade and 8th grade graduation on the same day. The parent said that her older daughter is also graduating college that day. She would like to move the 8th grade graduation to Sunday.
Item #3 - Approved consent agenda.
Item #4 - Superintendent reported that 239 students are doing in person learning and 86 are full remote. He suggested keeping things as is since it is so close to the end of the school year. Next year's learning model: Superintendent suggested keeping Monday as a planning day with the students coming 4 days. He will study more about it over the summer.
The BOE voted to enter Closed Session 6:25 p.m. (BOE Member Moore arrived sometime during Closed Session.)
The BOE voted to exit Closed Session at 7:38 p.m.
