The CAT President's Report:

The Public Hearing was called to order at 5:35 p.m.

Members present: Stubblefield, Tarver, McAllister, Moore, Coleman, and Nelson. Chief School Business Official Blake, and Superintendent Rice were also present.

See budget papers below. ( Bottom line: The District ran a surplus during the past school year of $341,952.)

The BOE voted to adjourn the Public Hearing at 5:46 p.m.

The Regular Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

BOE member Harris joined the others present for this meeting.

Nothing for # 2.

#3 Brittany Mathews addressed the board with concerns about the policy for renting school facilities.

#4 Approved the consent agenda.

# 5 Reviewed policy for building rental.

1. Opening of school year - 1:00 dismissal on Mondays.

2. Grant funds: Pre-K grant - $17,500.00. It was suggested that it be spent on a vehicle. Will be discussed in closed session.

The BOE voted to enter closed session at 6:40 p.m.

The BOE voted to exit closed session at 8:00 p.m.

#8 Requiring Action/Decisions by the BOE:

1. No resignations

2. Hirings - The BOE voted to hire Trevor Robinson as music teacher. (The hiring of a H.S. Social Studies teacher was tabled.)

3. Approved extension of bus contract.

4. Approved extension of food service contract.

5. Approved pay order for A & W plumbing at CES for roof/HVAC project.

6. Tabled.

7. Tabled.

8. Approved long term substitute teacher rate of $100 per day for 15 consecutive days. Goes to $125 on 16th consecutive day. Beginning teacher salary for long term substitute for school year.

9. Approved one-year contract with Zachara Nelson. CJSHS Principal.

10. Approved amended budget 2020-2021.

The BOE voted to adjourn at 8:10 p.m.
