CAT Tracks for January 18, 2022
IN AND OUT |
From CSD #1:
As you are aware, the CDC has shortened the the recommended time for isolation for the public. People with COVID-19 should isolate themselves for five days and can later surround themselves with others only if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving, such as without fever for twenty-four hours. Additionally, people should continue to wear a facial mask when around others to minimize the risk of spreading the virus.
In an effort to mitigate the spread of Covid, our district returned to remote instruction which ended yesterday. After careful consideration and my belief in erring on the side of caution, we will return to remote instruction beginning on Wednesday, January 19. Students will return to in-person instruction on Monday, Jan. 24. To mitigate the spread of Covid, the district has ordered extra testing kits for students and staff in an effort to deter the spread of Covid.
Please note that lunches will be delivered to our students and students will be expected to complete school assignments from their teachers. Please encourage our students to complete assignments.
Educationally yours,
Dr. Rice
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
WTF?
I mean, if the CDC SHORTENED the isolation time, why is CSD LENGTHENING it? And why bring everybody back for one damn day? The powers that be coulda/shoulda just canceled today.
BTW: The CDC reduction of isolation time is not new...it was issued on December 27th, long before CSD Went to full remote the first time! Splain that!
And, now that everybody has come back and exposed themselves TODAY, "erring on the side of caution", I'd say maybe the District should stay closed until the middle of next week. None of this makes sense. Then, again...
SNAFU!
Dear Staff,
