The Cairo Board of Education held a Regular Meeting on Thursday, October 21st, at 6 p.m.

CAT President's Report:
Called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Members present: Coleman, Moore, McAllister, Nelson, Tarver, and Harris. Also present were Superintendent Rice and Financial Officer Blake.
No Examples of Excellence were presented.
No one asked to address the BOE.
#4. Approved the Consent Agenda.
#5. Superintendent's Report:
- Lending out school equipment was discussed.
- McAllister will be the delegate to IASB.
- The energy audit was discussed.
- Presented a certificate to Sheila Nelson.
- Skipped.
- Changed Parent-Teacher conferences to November 2 and 4 per request of principals. Evenings only. No school on Friday. November 5.
- A representative of the Baysinger architecture company gave an update on the HVAC system which was discussed.
The BOE voted to enter closed session at 6:30 p.m.
The BOE voted to exit Closed Session at 7:15 p.m.
Requiring Action/Decisions by the BOE:
- Hired Angela Brown as Paraprofessional Individual Aide for CES.
- Approved the EIS Administrative & Teacher Salary & Benefits Report.
- Approved donation of $1500 to the Tri-County Youth Recreation Program.
The BOE voted to adjourn at 7:40 p.m.
