HUD DELIVERS ANOTHER BLOW TO CAIRO RESIDENTS |
"HUD closing another housing building in Cairo; 53 families to relocate."
Why?
Yeah, just like when they tore down the old "earthquake damaged" high school - the one with windows - and then struggled mightily to tear it down.
The powers that be can always find a reason, an excuse, to do what THEY want to do. Consequences? Collateral damage? Not THEIR problem/concern!
In the poorest county in Illinois, HUD keeps tearing down affordable housing, hell, some of the little housing left in Cairo.
But, hey, I guess you don't need housing in "an abandoned city", a "ghost town". Sigh.
The "high rise" had the best view in town, overlooking the Ohio River. Then, again, guess since the Ohio River is drying up...
