The Cairo Board of Education held a Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 11th, at 6:00 p.m.

CAT President's Report:
Called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Members present: Coleman, Nelson, Stubblefield, Tarver, McAllister, and Harris. Also present were Assistant Superintendent Ferrell, and Secretary Beagle.
Item # 2. No one spoke.
Item # 3. Approved Consent Agenda.
Item # 4. Dr. Ferrell spoke about the After School Enrichment program and the Civil Rights Museum tour to Memphis. The BEAC will partner with the district to cover all expenses.
The BOE voted to enter closed session at 6:06 p.m.
The BOE voted to exit closed session at 9:50 p.m.
Item #5. Requiring Action/Decisions By Board of Education:
- Approved the hiring of Winter Sports Coaches. (See list below.)
- Approved the appointment of Sonya Taylor as new board member to fill the vacant seat.
- Approved the resignation of LaShauna Cornelius as the Parent Educator.
- Approved the resignation of Laura Schuch as the Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Approved the After School Enrichment Program.
- Approved the Civil Rights Museum Tour.
The BOE voted to adjourn at 9:55 p.m.
