CAT Tracks Editor's Note: It has been brought to my attention that the BOE et al have evidently gotten the "hungries"...raising their BOE meeting meals from $225 to $300. My initial response was that maybe the $300 figure was the BOE member per diem for trips to exotic places. But, nope, when I actually got the BOE packet, the $300 is just for their regular meetings in Cairo. Damn that inflation thing! My source suggested that the BOE could get "carry out" from Longhorn cheaper than that. Guess I'm not the only catty commentator. :-) Personally, I never understood the eating at BOE meetings - especially while the public was waiting in the hallway. I always ate before I went to the meeting. Oh well, rank has always had its privileges. Bon Appetite!
