CAT President's Report:

Called to order at 6:00 p.m.

Members present: Coleman, Stubblefield, McAllister, Nelson, and Tarver. Also present were Superintendent Rice. Assistant Superintendent Ferrell , and Secretary Beagle.

Examples of excellence: Mr. Ronna praised his staff for coming together to get meals for the students to take home for the early dismissal because of the power outage.

#3. Recognized from the audience to address the BOE:

• Marcela Woodson from Men of Power Women of Strength talked about a lock-in for CES on September 30 for 4th-6th grades.

• Serina Nelson spoke about the students not being allowed to take the chrome books home this year. She said that she gives assignments on the internet to be completed as homework. Some of her students do not have access to the internet without the chrome books. She also remarked about the virtual lab not being able to be utilized by the students because of the guidance counselor being moved into that room. And lastly she remarked about the board not wanting to settle with the union on a fair amount of raise so that we can attract certified teachers to our district.

#5. Item 1. One Goal is a free service to collaborate with the district on various class offerings. Item 2. Under 300 students enrolled so far.

The BOE voted to enter Closed Session at 6:30 p.m.

The BOE voted to exit Closed Session at 8:40 p.m.

The BOE voted to adjourn at 8:45 p.m.
