The Cairo Board of Education held a Special Meeting on Monday, August 8th, at 5:30 p.m.

CAT President's Report:

Called to order at 5:33 p.m.

Members present: Coleman, Nelson, Harris, Tarver, McAllister, and Stubblefield. Also present were Dr. Rice, Kimberly Beagle (board secretary), and Dr. Ferrell.

#2. Brittany Mattews inquired about the dates for Open House for both buildings.

#3. Approved.

#4. Dr. Rice commented on all of the various projects that are ongoing.

The BOE voted to enter Closed Session 5:41 p.m.

The BOE voted to exit Closed Session at 7:25 p.m.

#5. Requiring Action/Decisions by Board of Education:

  • Approved Items (1), (2), (3), and (5).

  • Item (4), the hiring of Deidre Cassel, was tabled.

The BOE voted to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.
