The Cairo Board of Education conducted a Public Hearing on the FY23 Budget (2022-2023 School Year) on Monday, September 26th, at 5:30 p.m.

CAT President's Report:
Called to order at 5:31 p.m.
Members present: Nelson, McAllister, Tarver, Harris, Coleman. Also present were Secretary Beagle, Superintendent Rice.
Item #2 - Dr. Rice commented that Mr. Miller said that we have a great budget and a positive fund balance.
Item #3: Mr. Tarver asked about the grant amounts and where they are listed. Dr. Rice said that Mr. Miller is working on the grant information. Mr. McAllister asked about Mr. Miller being able to spend more time here so that payroll can be completed correctly. Dr. Rice said that he had spoken to Mr. Miller about this issue.
Item #4: The 2022-2023 Budget was approved.
A Special Board meeting will be held on October 11, 2022.
The BOE voted to adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
