Dear Valued Rise Community Market Co-op Members, We have some significant news to share about our beloved Rise and Shine Deli Cafe, and while this change may initially appear as a challenge, we believe it's essential for the continued success of our community market co-op.

Starting Monday, we will be discontinuing our breakfast and dinner services, and will be open for lunch only from 11 AM to 2 PM. We understand that this decision may come as a hardship to some of our community members who have come to enjoy these offerings. We genuinely appreciate your support and patronage of these services. In addition to these changes, we are also adjusting to winter hours on the grocery side. Starting Monday, we will be closing an hour earlier, at 7 PM. Sundays will remain 10 AM to 6 PM. We understand this shift might affect your shopping patterns, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we make this change.

The rationale behind this change is driven by our commitment to sustaining the Rise Community Market Co-op as a whole. The cafe, unfortunately, has been operating at a loss. To ensure the long-term financial viability of the grocery section, we need to make these tough decisions. It's about finding a balance that ensures we can continue to provide a thriving, sustainable community hub for all our members.

While these shifts will certainly be a challenge, we want to reassure you that our unwavering dedication to our community remains intact. We are working diligently to find alternative ways to continue offering our community delicious, locally-sourced food options and a welcoming gathering space. We are also exploring new partnerships and initiatives that can benefit the co-op as a whole.

To show our appreciation for your continued support and loyalty, we will also be introducing a new member benefit. Starting Monday, all members will receive a 2% discount on each of their trips to the co-op. Wednesdays will be even more wonderful, with an increase to 5%. We hope this helps alleviate the impact of the changes and demonstrates our commitment to our amazing members.
