NOTE: For tonight's meeting, I simply changed the dates in my post for the meeting of February 28th. I guess this is the BOE's new "thing"...not letting you know in advance what they are going to consider...secrets to hide. Damn the Open Meetings Act, full speed ahead.
The Cairo Board of Education held a Special Meeting on Monday, March 11th, at 4:00 p.m.

So much for transparency!
If you want to know what the BOE is up to (or who they are after), ya gotta come sit in the hallway and wait and wait and wait. Your time on the agenda where you could speak for or against what they might do (or who they might discipline/fire) will have long passed.
Definitely violates the spirit (the letter?) of the Open Meeting's Act.
CAT President's Report:
Called to order at 4 p.m. Went into closed session at 4:05 p.m. Exited closed session at 6:05 p.m. The BOE took no action. The BOE then voted to adjourn.
