The CAT President's Report:

Called to order at 6:00 p.m.

Members present: Coleman, Nelson, Tarver, Matthews, Taylor, Howard, and Stubblefield (by phone.)

# 2 - None.

# 3 - Maria Watkins asked to go into closed session. Joshua Baldwin also asked to go into closed session.

# 4 - Tabled because there were errors.

# 5 - All items were discussed.

# 6 - The Board has formed committees to discuss Board issues. The committees will be posted on the District's Facebook page. The committees are:

• Learning and Instruction
• Policy
• School support services
• Operations and Facilities
• Board Governance
• Parent and Community Engagement

The Board voted to enter closed session at 7:00 p.m.

The Board voted to exit closed session at 11:07 p.m.

Item 1 - Hired Dian Thomas as an Administrative Assistant at CJSHS for FY 2023-2024.

Item 2 - Approved resignation of Geraldine Fisher as Permanent Substitute at Cairo Elementary.

Item 3 - Approved resignation of Catherine Shemwell Scott as Special Education Teacher at CJSHS.

Item 4 - Approved the resignation of Kim Thomas as an Administrative Assistant.

Item 5 - Approved the termination of a Personal Care Aide at Cairo Elementary.

Item 6 - Hired Katrice Edmonds as a Permanent Substitute at Cairo Elementary for FY 2023-2024.

Item 7 - Skipped the hiring a a School Nurse.

Items 8-11 - Approved the expense requests for Board Members attending various conferences.

The Board voted to adjourn at 11:15 p.m.
