The Cairo Board of Education held a Regular Meeting on Thursday, September 19th, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Immediately prior to this meeting (at 5:30 p.m.) the Board conducted a Public Hearing on the 2024-2025 Budget

CAT President's Report:
Regular meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Members present: Coleman, Stubblefield, Matthews, Taylor, Tarver, Nelson, Howard. Also present were Interim Superintendent Ferrell and Secretary Hall.
Item 2 - Both principals gave building reports.
Item 3 - Two Members of the public requested to enter closed session. Maria Watkins asked about funding for prom. Wendell Williams from SIU-C spoke about student information concerning college enrollment. A representative of the 4-H club spoke about getting the students involved in their program. The two student representatives were sworn in to be Youth Board members - seniors Harmony Duncan and Amiah Cornelius.

Item 5 - The superintendent gave a report on items listed.
The BOE voted to enter closed session at 7:55 p.m.
The BOE voted to exit closed session at 10:10 p.m.
