STANDING UP FOR "PRINCIPAL"


Popular Cairo High School Principal Elmer McPherson and his equally popular wife, Naomi (a teacher at Emerson Elementary) felt betrayed when Naomi was passed over for a promotion to the position of principal at Bennett Elementary. Both were life-long residents of Cairo - products of the Cairo Public School system. This slight prompted both to resign their positions and relocate to an area where their many talents would be appreciated and recognized...which, in fact, proved to be the case.
