CAT Tracks for October 13, 2009
WHERE, OH, WHERE |
...has our Big Dog gone?
Have heard many cries from the trenches...
Apparently, the Cairo Superintendent of Schools was no where to be seen at Friday's Regional Institute...for the second year in a row!
Last year, we received belated notice of a death in the family.
This year?
In fact, curious CATs are now comparing notes...was the Superintendent in the District for Thursday's SIP Day???
This wouldn't be of much interest except that Superintendent Swopes is on record that SIP Days are MANDATORY DAYS OF ATTENDANCE/PARTICIPATION.
In fact, the District faces an unfair labor practice charge from LAST year because Superintendent Swopes refused to honor a request for Association Leave on an SIP Day.
In fact, the District faces an arbitration for THIS year because Superintendent Swopes refused to honor a request for Personal Leave on an SIP Day.
In fact, Superintendent Swopes denied a request for personal leave by a teacher for this past Thursday's SIP Day...a day that he was possibly absent himself???
In fact (damn these pesky facts), someone tried to contact the Superintendent this morning and he was "unavailable".
Wonder if Superintendent Swopes was just busy, or if he still hasn't made it back...from wherever he has been???
You know...I'm tempted to look up "hypocrisy" in my Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
Just curious about whether there will be an illustration, another familiar picture...
