CAIRO, Ill. — Michael L. Dodd, 37, of Cairo died Saturday at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mr. Dodd was employed as a payroll clerk for the City of Cairo.

Surviving are his wife, Tena Dodd; one son, Michael Harrell of Cairo; two daughters, Melinda Harrell and Rachel Harrell, both of Cairo; three brothers, James McNeely, David McNeely Jr., and Richard McNeely, all of Scott City, Mo.; his parents, David and Lucita McNeely of Scott City; seven grandchildren; three nephews; and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one niece.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo with the Revs. Tom Morris and Mark Cruse officiating. Burial will be at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Cairo Public Library in memory of Mr. Dodd.
