CHS BETA CLUB

Just another week of activity for Cairo's hardest working group of young folks...and it's always in the service of others. Refreshing, indeed, in an age of "Me, me, me!". Especially in Cairo, where teenagers have such a bad reputation.

"Well done, kids!"

Hats off to their sponsor, also...CJSHS Teacher Ryan O'Shea. Ryan gives unselfishly of his time in facilitating their efforts...with no thought of personal recognition. I tease Ryan about his constant omission from the "photo shoots". Ryan ducks his head and mumbles something like "Well, somebody's got to take the picture." I beg to differ. You can always find another teacher at CJSHS to take pictures if one is so inclined. Nope...attitude - good and bad - doesn't fall far from the tree. The unselfishness and hard-working efforts demonstrated weekly by the students in his charge simply reflect the core values of the sponsor.

"Well done, Ryan!"

Anyway, here's the latest from the Cairo High School Beta Club...
