...guinea pigs, sacrificial lambs, or "bobbed" cats?

Don't know if this is good news or bad news for our neighbors to the north...

It sounds like good news when you read the article (except of course for being "recognized" as one of the "lowest-performing schools.") At least you get help.

But, then again...

Anytime your school district is mentioned in an article with the federal "Race to the Top" competition grant program, the spectre of Central Falls, RI rears its ugly head...that's the school district that just fired all of its teachers to the standing ovation of United States Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

Time will tell, but let's hope that an offer of "help" does not turn into a scream of "HELP!"
