BUS DRIVER TENURE? |
That MUST be it...right?
School district administrators, politicians, and their fawning public keep saying that their hands are tied and they can't fire "bad" teachers because of tenure laws, aided and abeited by their evil unions.
So it must be...
The bus drivers who work for school districts must have tenure also and that's why they can be ticketed for killing someone while talking on a cell phone and still be around ten years later to run stop signs and run over automobiles while supposedly sleep-deprived.
We CAN take comfort that the bus driver evidently got help for his cell-phone addiction.
Yes, more DRIP, DRIP, DRIPping sarcasm...
From the Washington Post...
Pa. school bus driver charged in 2nd fatal crash
By PATRICK WALTERS
NORRISTOWN, Pa. -- Prosecutors say surveillance video shows a sleep-deprived school bus driver running stop signs before causing a fatal crash last month outside a suburban Philadelphia middle school.
Frederick Poust III had been ticketed a decade ago for careless driving following a crash that killed a 2-year-old girl and touched off a national debate about motorists using cell phones.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman says video from a bus camera shows Poust driving recklessly before last month's crash. Prosecutors say he turned in front of a compact car, killing its passenger and injuring the driver. Five students on the bus were hurt.
Investigators say he wasn't using a cell phone during last month's crash.
Poust is charged with homicide by vehicle. His attorney hasn't respond to a phone message left Monday.
