ANOTHER YEAR OLDER

...and deeper in debt.

Ten days ago, I embarked upon a mathematical magical mystery tour about "Robbers All" - aka Robbins Schwartz Nicholas - Cairo School District Number One's band of attorneys dedicated to the persecution of James Gibson.

The bottom line of the comparison of Cairo (with 580 students) with Wake County (with 140,000 students) was that Cairo School District Number One SHOULD spend a total of $4,142.86 PER YEAR on legal services.

How time flies in Cairo...

In only 30 days (actually 28 since it was February)...another YEAR has passed!

How do I know?

Just received another "Open Accounts Payable List" from the Cairo School District...bills to be paid this month for services rendered last month:

Yep, in a "short month", "Robbers All" billed CSD #1 a total of $4,222.75.

True to past practice, the Cairo Board of Education voted Thursday night - WITHOUT QUESTION OR COMMENT - to pay this bill. This coming Monday, the Cairo Financial Oversight Panel will rubber stamp that vote.

The insanity continues as...

Talk about mixed signals!

And all the while, Cairo School District Number One sits contentedly with a nice fat banking account of $3,580,402.30

Forever, the Cairo Board of Education and a succession of Superintendents have cried "WOLF!"

I believe I have figured it out...

They say "power corrupts". Those in positions of authority become captivated by it...it swells their egos. They become vain. As such, they become as the Queen in Snow White, gazing into her magical mirror looking for confirmation, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall..."

The "powers that be" in Cairo School District Number One gaze fondly into their mirrors but receive no magical transformations.

NO!

When THEY gaze into their mirrors, the bare-faced truth stares back. And, when they see their bare-fanged reflections, they cannot help but exclaim...

WOLF!
