The new CORRECT information follows...

• The Monday, January 24th Regular FOP Meeting (rescheduled to a later start to accommodate the special Joint BOE-FOP Planning Meeting) has been returned to its regular starting time...10:30 a.m.

• The aforementioned joint planning meeting has been canceled...for now.

• However, filling the void...the Cairo Board of Education (as reported in the "minutes" of the BOE Regular January meeting) will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, January 24th at 5 p.m. for the purpose of discussing the Superintendent's contract.

• As of now...Tuesday's Special "Committee of the Whole" Meeting to discuss collective bargaining is still a go at the time indicated.

Three meetings in two days!

On Monday, January 24, 2011, the Cairo Financial Oversight Panel will hold its regular monthly meeting at the irregular time of 1:30 p.m. (Meetings are normally held at 10:30 a.m.)

The later start was to facilitate a "joint planning meeting" with the Cairo Board of Education at 3:30 p.m. that same day.

Then, on Tuesday evening, the Cairo BOE will hold a special meeting for the purpose of discussing collective bargaining.

The notices and agendas of the joint meeting and the collective bargaining meeting follow:
