CAT Tracks for July 15, 2010 CSD #1 GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE...CORRECTION

The "Letter of Authorization" has gone out and been received by most members TODAY.

There was an error...

The first figure, the "Total" is correct.

The second figure is NOT. That number ($84.53 for those of you with single coverage) is the amount to be withheld PER MONTH, NOT EACH PAY PERIOD! Instead, HALF of that amount (approximately $42.27) will be withheld each pay period beginning on August 15, 2010. (If you have the spouse or family coverage, the same applies - i.e. the first number is correct; the second number is PER MONTH, half of which will be deducted per pay period beginning on August 15th.)

AGAIN...

Sign the "Letter of Authorization" (as is, with the understanding above) and return it PROMPTLY to the Central Office.

Also...

Once again, a special "THANKS!" to the Cairo Board of Education for stepping in and floating loans to the members of the CSD #1 Group Health Insurance. They did NOT have to.

If the BOE had NOT done so, you would be having hundreds of dollars deducted from your remaining summer paychecks, thereby putting a definite crimp in your remaining summer vacation plans...or eating, driving, AC, etc.
