CAT Tracks for August 18, 2010 CHRISTMAS IN JULY, UH...AUGUST

Some of you may wonder...

"You call this a present?!"

Well, contrary to ugly rumors spread by Cairo School District officials, CATs are NOT a greedy bunch...satisfied by life's simple pleasures.

Like the calendar for the coming school year...on the day before school starts!

By hook or crook...

The only reason you are receiving the CSD 2010-2011 Calendar is because a dedicated CAT with sticky paws went out to school yesterday and found it in the "Cairo School District Parent/Student Handbook" that was being distributed during registration.

Yes, nothing has changed...teachers are the last to know!

Which wouldn't be so bad except...

If you look at the top/left of the calendar below, you will note that the calendar was "ADOPTED 05/20/10".

Whassup with that?

Anyway...

Merry Christmas and, of course, a Happy New (School) Year!

What you see is what you get...

As you may recall, last year's edition was obviously wrong...scheduling 181 days instead of 180. (That day quietly disappeared in the scheduling of the final days of the 2009-2010 School Year.)

A close inspection of this year's shiny new edition reveals a one-day adjustment.

For our next act, we are going to work on direction...
