The CAT bargaining team met yesterday afternoon in Cairo with new IEA Region 2 UniServ Director Matthew Johansson.

The purpose of the session was to "meet and greet", to orient Mr. Johannson to the team and the issues "on the table".

Well...

...that certainly didn't take long!

Mr. Johannson had read the BOE's "original proposal" prior to the meeting, making numerous notes in the margins of same. Already "up to speed", the team moved quickly to a discussion of the BOE's proposal and the preparation of a response.

So...

...let the bargaining begin!

Accordingly, Madam CAT President will deliver a letter today to Interim Superintendent Swopes offering two possible dates to resume negotiations.
