SINGING AND DANCING |
...and entertaining at yesterday's SIP Day in Cairo School District Number One.
In the picture below, the trio of Ronnie Woods, Larry Baldwin, and James Gibson belt out their rendition of "My Girl".
POINT OF PERSONAL PRIVILEGE:
The title to this post is the one used by the person who sent me the picture.
I had to laugh...
My choice probably would have been "When Hell Freezes Over" (the choice by the Eagles for their "reunion album".
Who knew?
...that long-exiled James Gibson and recently RIFed/rehired Larry Baldwin would team up with our resident Reverend to entertain the troops?
But, then again...
...how appropriate!
"Singin'...and Dancin' in the Rain" was the title I chose back on July 16, 2010, when reporting that the Cairo Board of Education had voted to hire James Gibson after a prolonged and expensive legal battle.
And yesterday's song choice...
"My Girl"?
If there be an afterlife...
I know MY girl was smilin' and singin'...
...and (unlike this white boy) DANCIN' to the beat!
Bears repeating:
Ever how reluctantly...
...a change HAS come to Cairo School District Number One!
