BACK TO THE FUTURE |
On a "no news day"...
...refusing to watch my 0-6 St. Louis Rams play the 5-2 New Orleans Saints...
...I rummaged.
Whiling my time away digging into filing cabinets, looking through CAT-BOE negotiations stuff.
Talk about depressing!
But...
In comparison to watching the Rams play...not so much.
Anyway...
Digging deep, I unearthed a newspaper article (complete with color photograph) from January 2010. (I published the article in a January 17, 2010 edition of CAT Tracks.)
For convenience, I have reproduced the photograph immediately below...
The article claimed that "Most of the remaining buildings pictured here are scheduled for removal in the year to come."
Well, we won't quibble that it took a tad longer...
...especially since it allowed me the excuse to succumb to my obsession, to go forth and revisit the location, to re-enact the view...
...approximately 21 months later:
Better late than never!
POSTSCRIPT:
Evidently, the sorry Rams caught "Wild Card Fever"...
...or maybe the "St. Louis Rally Squirrel" (who was banished from Busch Stadium) took up residence down the street in the Edward Jones Dome, gave a pep talk before the game, and suited up!
Whatever...
