CAT Tracks for October 9, 2011
FIRST NEW CAIRO HOUSE SINCE...

As I was wandering cyberspace this morning, browsing for pictures of Cairo's past, I ran across an article lamenting (castigating?) Cairo as "...a town forgotten."

Actually, that's not hard to do...it's a haystack of needling out there!

Anyway...

One sentence did catch my attention:

Not that it will change the statistic (since the article was written a couple of years ago), the comment did remind me of our latest addition...

...the aforementioned arrival of a new house at 25th and Washington Avenue.

During my "demolition drives" through Cairo, I stopped occasionally and took pictures of the progress:

Bits & Pieces

Out of Many...One

I noticed during my (visual) "drive-bys" last week that workers were laying the foundation blocks.

So...

This morning, I returned to the scene of the crime:

CAT Tracks Editor's Note:

Okay, okay, I guess a disclaimer is in order.

I am well aware that some other new buildings have gone up in Cairo...and others have made improvements to their property.

Hell, even I recently tore down a termite eaten piece of stockade fencing and installed a plastic replacement...along with some new backyard landscaping that reduces my own grass-cutting (so that I can devote more time and flagging energy to my "adopted" properties.)

My failure to report these other endeavors was not an intentional snubbing on my part. If you are miffed, I offer a sincere apology.

Heck, send me pictures and I will post them!

In closing, all I can add...

...like any "rag" worth its salt, CAT Tracks takes note of the spectacular rather than the mundane.

Real estate folks cite "location" as all important.

In our business, the driving force is EMOTION, EMOTION, EMOTION!!!
