CAT Tracks for August 23, 2011 THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS

Once again, I must play the role of the messenger...the bearer of bad tidings. In the scheme of things, this is trivial. However, coming on the heels as it does of last night's assault on CSD #1 employees by the Financial Oversight Panel, you probably feel like I'm kicking you while you're down.

I assure you that that is not the case. I just figured it best to get all the bad news out there...and then move on.

Cutting to the chase...

The "COUNTDOWN" featured on the CAT Tracks Home Page was wrong...we've got to do "DAY 85" over.

The Interim Superintendent Contract Agreement posted last night confirmed what I had suspected. There were conflicting reports of whether Leotis was at work on Monday, August 1st. The contract clarifies the situation by stating in the opening sentence that "the 2nd day of August, 2011" is DAY 1 of our 100-day sentence.

So, at the close of business yesterday, Leotis had completed only fifteen (15) days...
