POSTSCRIPT:

For those of you who followed my previous posts on "The Cairo Mounds", I must sadly report the completion of the looting of Mound 2 (aka The City Dump). As you will clearly see in the picture below, the treasures and the big blue treasure chest are gone...leaving only ashes and weeds to remind us of what was and what could have been.

If we are lucky, someone will scoop up the painful reminder and sprinkle it over one of the empty lots to be created by the demolition of Cairo's downtown "East Side".
