Woman shot, taken to hospital

CAIRO, IL (KFVS) - Illinois State Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Cairo.
Investigators say shots rang out at 3:10 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of 32nd and poplar streets in Cairo.
A 20-year-old woman from Lafayette, Georgia was shot. Her name is not being released pending further investigation.
Police say the woman was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There have been no arrests made in the case and the investigation continues.
